1.5 Million in about 10 minutes – easy GT5 Money

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

Again a quick way to make some big dollars as well as a cool 120k experience points.. an easy way to pass level 21 in GT5 cause I know how annoying getting through that level can be!

Okay, down to business…we will be taking advantage of the awesome seasonal events that GT5 runs every so often. Note this is only available to the end of the month but you MUST take advantage of this now before it runs out.

So here it goes:

  1. Make sure your logged into the Playstation network
  2. You will need a Chevvy so go buy a Chevvy, I bought a ZR1.
  3. Change fuel and get a pair of soft slicks.
  4. Go back to the main menu and go to the seasonal events
  5. Click on the first event, Bonus Race No. 6.
  6. The last race will be at Indy using their old F1 track in the in field.
  7. Destroy them!

After doing this you’ll earn 1.5 million and have 120,000 experience points.

That’s about it. The key here is to bolt on those slick tires as without them it can get a bit frustrating. But once they’re on it makes a world of difference.

Play your own music in GT5

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Sick of the elevator music in GT5? Would you rather rock on with your favourite tunes and really get into the mood?

Face it, the Christmas carols and classics work for about 2 minutes, but when your deciding on whether you use a Bugatti, Zonda or your Enzo you want something with a bit more… oomph.

Well you can actually change the music to whatever you want it to be! This was submitted from forum member ‘jbird000‘ and here it is:

1. Upload music to your PS3’s hard drive from your computer (I used a flashdrive).
2. Create a playlist for gt5’s menu, and a playlist for gt5’s races, adding any songs of any length.
3. Go to your gt5 home screen, and click on the music button (indicated by a small music note icon).
4. Once you pull this up, there will be three tabs on the left, one labeled “race bgm“, and another labeled “menu bgm” will be found there.
5. Click on either of these tabs, and the list of songs GT5 normally plays will be shown here.
6. There will be three buttons in the lower portion of the window, one of them looks like a small gear, or cog, labeled “settings” click on that.
7. There will be 3 buttons, in a new window that pops up. I can’t remember exactly what they say, but one says “default music“, and another says personal “bgm music“, and one more button labeled “select personal bgm music folder” or something like that. Click on the select music button.
8. Click on the playlist (according to where you are setting the music)
9. Play any song (make sure you set it to shuffle ^_^) and it will continually play all of the songs in the playlist folder forever in GT5 :) No more elevator tunes!
10.  Make sure you when you make your selection to click the other button labeled “personal bgm music” before backing out
11. You’re all set with your custom tunes 8-)

Its as easy as that to rock on with your favourite beats while playing GT5. You could say the game got that little bit more interesting!

Over 4m In a Hour – Limited Time only!

Friday, January 28th, 2011

We know that some of the seasonal events can be a gold mine.. well the VW event going on at the moment is no exception.

But this event is only available for January I believe so get in quick and make some big cash!

This is courtesy of Joneseyy from the forum:

Go to seasonal events tab.
Bonus race No. 4:
the VW event, all you need is a racing modified Golf which will set you back 200k
Super Gt event, I bought the Nissan Yellow Hat YMS TOMICA GT-R 08 for 950,000cr but pocketed 1.5mCR with ease after winning the race.

Bonus race No. 5:
European touring car event: you should already have one from completing some of the races in A-spec mode, easy win making you 2m richer
TVR Tuscan speed event: i already had a RM Tuscan speed 6 and the race was incredibly easy

Don’t forget you need to act now because the Seasonal events don’t last and you could miss out on some serious cash if your too late.

Trading GT5 Cars – The Good List

Friday, January 21st, 2011

Ever wanted to trade your car for something sweet but didn’t know whether you would get your pride and joy back?

Or have you given away your beast only to have the other person ignore your requests to have it back?

The good news is that the GT5 cheats forum now has a trading reputation thread where we discuss who it’s safe to deal with and who has proved to be an honorable swapper in the past.

Check it out here at the forum

Licence Cheat for GT5 – A-4 Licence

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

I was going through the license tasks the other day and was a little stuck on this one. It’s the A-4 task and I simply couldn’t get out of the &@%#$! corner quick enough.

Even though I run a site called GT5 cheats, I generally try to stick to the racing line and stuff… but love the occasional cheat, especially if it brings some quick cash or gets rid of an annoying level. This does the latter.

The trick is.. well.. simply cut the corners! There is no effort in the game to stop you cutting the corners so you can cut through them as much as you like and get a really good run out of the chicane.

Gold trophy? Give me a go at a Platinum!

I know the video quality is pretty average but you get the idea! 🙂

Epic 2 Million in 1 hr Easy Money GT5!

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Wow… imagine.. 2 Million bucks for 1 hours work. And your job was to drive the Red Bull X1. This is the stuff dreams are made of.. or the stuff F1 drivers experience.. either way, it ain’t happening for me!

Back to reality (sort of), we are talking GT5 and a cool way to make about 2 million in about an hour. You will need a Red Bull X1… you can use another car of course but it will no doubt take a little longer. Here is goes:

the indy event in Like the Wind, if you use the X1 (any version) the race can be completed in ~2:45. that means the race can be run 23 or 24 times an hour. that includes pre and post race cut scenes. @ 23 times its 1.93 million credits an hour. @ 24 times its just over 2 million credits an hour.

if you are looking to grind for XP in a-spec I recommend the indy event in the dream car championship. in the X1 it takes ~5:20 to complete. you get 9819 XP per race. you can complete this between 10 and 11 times in an hour. so you can easily have between 98k and 108k in an hour.

Guess what? This is straight from our awesome Forum courtesy of henbone11. You can check out the full post and thread by clicking here.

Enjoy this method and share your thoughts.

Why you suck at Rally events!

Saturday, January 8th, 2011

Well yeah.. I guess you really suck when doing the rally events don’t you. You try hard, try to be smooth and can’t get anywhere near the target times, let alone that nut job of an AI!

I struggled too… my car kept bogging down.. the thing had no power and me Loeb would just drive away from me like I was.. umm.. a WRC competitor 🙂

Let me let you in on a little secret. Its not you.

Here is the problem: GT5 as a default sets you up with a traction control of 5 and ABS of 1. Ever wonder why your car bogs down on every corner! It’s because you traction control keeps kicking in and you can’t get moving!

Before you enter the race you need to turn the traction control to 0 (zero) and I prefer to turn ABS to zero as well. This not only allows me to get on the gas and have fast powerslides but also lets me do nice Scandinavian flicks with the ABS turned off.

Give it a go and watch your times drop! But remember you need to have more feel this way as the car will slide more but your speed out of corners will be worth it!

Free Cars!

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

That’s right… you can get a car for FREE! As long as you have the money… huh?

Ok let me explain… this is straight out of the forum and was submitted by ‘i like f1‘ one of our forum regulars.

It goes a little something like this:

Similar cheat to duping, without the duping!
requires 2 accounts
Step 1: Save up for the car you want
Step 2: Back up your save to an external drive (flash drive)
Step 3: Buy the car
Step 4: Send the car to second account
Step 5: Reload main accounts save
Step 6: Send the car you bought back to the main account and enjoy the benefits!

Very very sneaky.. but hey it works.

The thing is you still need to save up the money.. but you don’t necessarily have to spend it.. you fake spend.

I wish life was like this don’t you. You save up a bit of cash, spend it, but it doesn’t ever leave your account. We can all dream, can’t we?

Anyway, give this a shot and let us know what you think.

Backing up your copy of GT5 – The Truth!

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

A while ago I posted info about a software that allows you to copy/backup PS3 games. Now a few people started saying how it was illegal and stuff so I took the post off and did a bit more research on the matter.

It turns out that it is perfectly legal to copy PS3 games if the sole intention of copying them is so that you have a back up of the game. It turns illegal as soon as you benefit from the copy of the games commercially (ie sell them). The same goes for Xbox and Wii games.

You can check your local laws but this seems to be across the board, however I’m not a lawyer and am not giving legal advice!

If you want to check out a way to copy your PS3 games you can download this software here.
