Title: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: stiggypoohs on Mar 06, 2011, 08:52 am
I`m gonna do a diary on here of what i`m doing on the ps3, so far I`m 42mins into a 9hr endurance race in A-Spec and surprisingly enough loving it. I get stopped by my missus for a cuppa from time to time and the best car I`ve found to use on this race is the new Gran turismo car you get from doing one flying lap at the seasonal event.... tune it up and cruise the hours away... anyhows, back to driving for me for another hour or so..... toodles :)

So you gotta play this for 9hrs straight, without being able to save it as you go along? Fingers crossed there's no powerspikes or cuts or anything...

I ain't going anywhere near any more A-Spec endurances until they do an update which lets you save it part way through. I did the first one yesterday, the 60 laps of Grand Valley 300km, and that was more than enough for me. Anything more than 30 laps and I'm bored.

Well, here`s an update for this thread...:-
I finally threw the towel in this morning at 1am, I`d done 4hrs of the 9hr enduro race and had planned on doing some today but due to prior engagements I`ve not started the race today but hopefully will start it at 9pm tonight for a few hours, if I can get it to 6hrs complete tonight then tomorrow will be a doddle with 3hrs left. anyhows, time to take me meds (aka red bull) ready for a 2hr shift w00p

Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary UPDATE
Post by: stiggypoohs on Mar 08, 2011, 10:26 am
yeahhhhh finally completed 9hr endurance race, what a slog that was but well worth it, jumped from level 33 to level 35 so now might take a crack at the 24hr at le mans..... then again I might wait till this new update is out so I can save the game in progress. btw, I used that car the one you get given free at the academy, handles okies BUT I thought I`d give it a tune up and rebuild it`s rigidity.... now get ready for the price..... 500cr to rebuild engine and 500cr to rebuild structure on car....

huh I thought then had to look again, yup 1,000cr ..... for a race car.... something tells me there`s a fault there with there pricing... oh and also I have no evidence on this as I was driving but a car actually drove "through" mine..... yes "through"... he was infront and going to the pits so I nipped infront of him, then automatically it shows you a clip of your car coming into the pits slowly.... and woof.... this car comes in and goes through mine!!!! the cheat, just cos he was losing

So it's safe to do and the PS3's won't explode or set fire or cause a temperal distortion in the timeline or... yeah it's safe then?

Still think I'll wait until PD make it so ya can save the race anytime you wanna break.   :P

Is it me or is there a problem with PSN? I`m getting an error message of 8002A203 and according to google, there doing an update but it states it wont affect your gameplay... well I`m happy to say there worng cos it IS affecting my gameplay cos I cant play my bloody gt5 game on feckin line!!!!!!!

That wouldn't fix my problem though, for that I'd have to delete about 30 people for being ahead of me.

I`m gonna be what I am.... a man and help a poor dansil in distress out :) aka faye.... awwww how sweet of me (I personally blame the sun but shhhh) haha, faye, please put ALL your B-spec men to share and add my other account name stiggypoohs1.

Please allow me to give em the runaround for a few days, hopefully that will increase your cr and there xp :)

there, see I do have a soft spot for women drivers :)
PS, just as long as they aint dressed in pink fire suits and come complete with handbags
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: Faye on Apr 18, 2011, 08:49 am
I still don't understand that remote racing thing, but thank you anyway.
I actually thought it was sweet for offering until you admitted that it wasn't out of the goodness of your heart.. but instead too much sun.
It isn't really B-Spec that I care about too much, it's very boring, it's why I hardly bother with it, it's the A-Spec that I want to be ahead in, I was doing better than a lot of people until I started helping them out.

Soft spot.. I don't need your pity. ;)
Nope. not pink suits, just pink cars in my case.
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: stiggypoohs on Apr 18, 2011, 08:57 am
pink cars, pink handbags, pink lipstick I dont care what they wear faye haha, just put them onto sharing and it`ll be an honour to race them for you, not because of the sun, but because like you said "you have been helping others out on here a hell of a lot" so put them onto shared and let me atleast repay your kindness with some good old fashioned driving :).

PS, I`m seriously rethinking of starting gt5 over again for the third time on my main account so you might still be ahead of me ;)
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: Faye on Apr 18, 2011, 09:01 am
I'll try and put them up later, I guess I trust you with drivers, just not cars considering I've seen what you've managed to do to cars that belong to other people.

I think that would be a bit daft, I wouldn't ever restart it after all the trouble it's been just to get where I am now, don't bother restarting it on the main account, make another account instead and build that up; it should be easier with the xp increases.
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: mego on Apr 18, 2011, 09:05 am
Faye,
I would be happy to remote race your B-Spec drivers anytime!  you have been a great help to me and because of your kindness I was able to complete my car collection.  So anything I can do to help you out it will be my pleasure... and it will definitely be from the goodness of my heart and not weather related issues like Stiggy
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: stiggypoohs on Apr 18, 2011, 09:07 am
already done that, I got 3 accounts going but i`m sure your ahead of 2 of my accounts anyhows so that`s one thing you`ve got better than mine :)
and as for borrowing one of your cars, yes, I fully understand if you hide the car keys from me but I have got better since, managed to get a midget onto 2 wheels and keep it going round a curve without totalling it
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: Faye on Apr 18, 2011, 09:11 am
See, even Mego knows that you don't do anything just to be kind. ;)

Well I was ahead of your main account at one point, I didn't play it for a week and you went miles ahead of me.

You might have gotten better but in all fairness driving a Midget around without killing it isn't much of an accomplishment considering they don't drive fast enough to cause that much damage. :) To prove your talents you should drive a Prius.
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: stiggypoohs on Apr 18, 2011, 09:46 am
I cant drive a prius.... there electric cable snaps after 50 metres  plus I prefer the smell of fear when I`m ramming a prius off the road into a hairpin bend lmao

oh crap, PSN is down once a bloody gain :@
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: Faye on Apr 18, 2011, 09:51 am
They're great cars! Best on the game in fact. Aww I love them, although trying to race people using x2010's when I'm in a Prius doesn't go too well.

Again? I thought there wasn't going to be any problems anymore.

they are having probs aint they, but no doubt they`ll sort it, as soon as I sent it I tried again to sign in and it let me, maybe a slight glitch there end, who knows..... but I`m backkkkkkkkkkk that`s the main worry over haha and yes faye, I am going to start another account tomorrow so make that 4 accounts woop, any specific year which your short on a car cos knowing me i`d end up putting 1914 as a D.O.B and getting a 2hp benz from the first world war

I only have one account so I think you're beating me.
I actually don't know what cars I need, I pretty much concentrate on getting cars that I can paint pink so they look pretty. :)
Well if you were born in 1914 then there's no point in lying about it. ;)

Can you paint them? I received a blue and silver two tone one for a race but a pink one would be quite nice.
At the moment my favourite is my pink Jaguar XJ13.

Well driving around in a pink Midget would look great online with people. I'm sure everybody would be very jealous. I think you should paint one of yours pink and go online with it.

..

I'd rather not lose the one I have now. Well more pink cars will make it perfect considering when people see my car collection they ask me if I'm gay.

The reason why you should keep racing with pink cars and turning your headset on later on should just because you can laugh at the reactions and the idea of their faces when they hear a female voice! I'm sure I would look a bit like "Lulwut?!?!"

I`m getting serious withdrawal symptoms now, I miss sitting there with me ps3 controller in me hand torturing the tyres half to death on a bend that wont take the speed I`m going at, I`m missing my midget challenges, I`m missing the thrill and buzz when I look through other peoples cars and take them out on a test run, I miss borrowing AndyT`s cars and turning them from a muscle car to a mangled heap of a jibbering wreck then handing the keys back to him and saying "nah drives like crap mate " I`m missing the smell of "odour de toilette" when the car i`ve borrowed in good faith leaves the ground and all you see is the ground, then the sky, then ground, then sky, then ground again. I`m missing waiting till thursday mornings 3am GMT and looking for a new seasonal, I`m missing the buzz and life on here with trades and more trades..... God bless PSN and GT5

PS:- when PSN comes back online, can I borrow someone`s car please :D

Well I thought I`d fill you in with what I`ve been doing/done recently... hmmm well living right by the sea in a seaside town you have to get used to eating seafood, soooo my kindly mother brought me this super huge portland crab to eat, yes it was already boiled all I had to do was get the crabmeat out of its body and legs and eat it in a few sandwiches, well I done it, cleaned it all out, mixed it in a bowl and scoffed it.... unfortunetly I forgot to move the feathers in it and was sick as a pig for 24hrs, oh well, least I only poisoned myself this time haha

Will the owner of the Ford WRC car please report to the garage ;)

Well that's a crock ain't it! Today I went onto Playstation store to purchase the whole expanded GT5 pack and it seems to not like me :S message reads "This content cannot be accessed on your account"
Is anyone else having problems with PS store today or are the crafty monkeys paying me back for smashing up people's cars?

Someone contacted me today via PSN stating there GT5 game had been hacked :S
I replied that there game couldn't technically be hacked as such without there PSN being hacked as well then he asked me to send him anything I could to help him along. I will of course send him something as its just a game plus he sent me a helmet but here's the question:- how could your GT5 game be hacked if you've already got it saved onto your PS3? It can't be hacked cos they'd need access to your PS3, ahhh well thats me diary filled out for the day :)

I wish I'd done these stupid specials earlier on in the game grrrr that stupid STUPID bloody crappy NASCAR rubbish is total dribble! Last two laps at Daytona ..... Totally ridiculous!
I know I've picked up some bad habits driving faster cars and I actually come 7th in that crappy race but come on, one single slight rub with another car and your out! Forget it, it's racing that's what happens. An here's another thing they can shove up there gaskets, since when when your following a load of cars closely infront of you do YOU lose there drag? You don't! But this race they've forgotten one golden rule of aerodynamics..... Within 200 metres there drag is your power, NOT according to this race ...... Grrrrrrrr!

Moan over with, carry on monty!
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: AndyT on Feb 03, 2012, 11:03 am
You gotta be spot-on with your car postioning to get the effect of drag with nascar, and also remember that the drag effect also benefits the car you are following... this is why they always work in pairs/groups in real races. Also 200m is a bit much, you gotta be pretty close to get slipstream.

It's not easy, but (if you remember), I did a video of it. Try setting your ABS to 10, I did it on 1 but more people seem to say that 10 works better.

Post by: stiggypoohs on Feb 08, 2012, 10:16 am
As you`ve read in the title "the Olympics are coming to where I live.... :(:(:(:(

why sad face your thinking? cos the town is going to be basically shut off or very limited traffic coming in (I cant walk in there due to disabilities grrr) also where I like to go is going to be "tickets only" which I think is a con as its free to visit 24/7/365.

major roads around the outskirt of the town are being closed and used for parking and you cant use a national heritage walkway because it`s being cordened off except if you`ve got a ticket!!!
Here`s what the local radio station has to say about it (Notice there isn`t anything bad said against it) http://www.wessexfm.com/2012-olympic-games.php

Now the olympics are good for sports etc, but this one is taking the piss, the beach will not hold 15,000 people... fact, the town, the main arterial roads around here will not cope with an extra 60,000 visitors per day... so for two weeks whilst it`s on I cant go out and enjoy some freedom. Oh and on a funnier note, the "powers at be" decided to have this erected:-
(http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc401/stiggypoohs/magicmushroomsatlittlemoor.jpg)

at an amazing price of...... £335,000............. just for the Olympic weeks.... total waste of taxpayers money you tell me.

Post by: stiggypoohs on Jun 30, 2012, 05:13 am
This morning after thinking deeply about my next move I made a final decision:-
I'm now not doing the time or drift trials because in my eyes the whole aspect of proper racing seems to be vanishing from Polyphony's minds.

Let's pick on time trials to begin with shall we?

The thought of jumping into any car that PD state that's under a certain PP we must use is fine and clearly ok, but for love of god would you honestly put comfort soft tyres on that car..... and go actual racing in it? The answer is no you wouldn't!
It doesn't matter what car you use you'd always use racing soft/hard tyres.... Fact! Imagine Lewis Hamilton jumping into his F1 mclaren and the pit crew bolting on sport hard tyres or a NASCAR with comfort hards on it, the whole racing world would scratch their heads then burst out laughing at the thought that those tyres are proper racing tyres.

Now let's have a rip out of drifting!

Drifting is the art of going around a corner...... Sideways!
Ummm hello..... Wakey wakey polyphony.... Drifting ISN'T classed as a racing sport, it's classed on style, length of drift, power of drift.... Its a bit like synchronised swimming in the Olympics, nobody ever watches it and everyone always wants a lifeguard to jump into the water to slap there smile off there faces.
I actually watched some drifting once (for about 10 seconds) and saw this Japanese bloke sat on his door looking over his roof waving to the crowd whilst going round and round sidewards, now picture this one ok.... Bernie Ecclestone driving a Toyota GT-ONE (TS020) '99 sidewards around Silverstone waving to the crowd..... It wouldn't happen! Why... Cos drifting isn't racing!

Now Polyphony, isn't it about time you picked up your OLD rule book and brought back some proper racing like GT2/3 and GT4 days!

End of thought!
(PS I will still help sending out tickets to the winners though)
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: AndyT on Jun 30, 2012, 05:27 am
I totally understand the frustration at being forced to use "slippy" tyres for these TimeTrials.

As for drifting, well there's actually two types (or stages) of drifting, the first is called "Tanso" where drivers go one at a time in front of judges to get points to qualify for the second stage. (This is what PD do for their drift trials.)

Then the fun starts, stage 2 is called "Tsuiso" where the remaining driver do paired-up racing, side by side. Two runs, one leads the other follows (swapping over for the next run). If no definite winner after 2 runs, a third run is done. It's actually very good to watch, much better than the Tanso rounds.

PD should somehow implement the Tsuiso drifting if they could sort out decent AI drivers.

Post by: stiggypoohs on Jun 30, 2012, 07:07 am
Don't get me wrong I'm not frustrated about using slippy tyres, I just think its ridiculously stupid! It's very easy money to earn once it's just the ethics of it. They could tighten it by doing what they did with the academy and put cones on there then change the tyres to racing hard/soft and possibly lowering the winning times and if that was too easy again then give the cars ahead a bit of a timed head start.
That way it'll pour some more interest into it with better skills required now the actual game is over a year old and most people are competent with it.

(BIG hint there for ya polyphony) courtesy of GT5cheats.com  :D

Post by: Jaywalker on Jul 01, 2012, 10:50 pm
That car should be blocked from the TT's, full stop. It's just become ridiculous.  >:(   As for the drifting, meh.  I don't bother...
Title: Re: Stiggy`s diary
Post by: McD-L-Tyler on Jul 02, 2012, 06:08 pm
I look at the drifting trials like they are a separate game altogether. No, it's not proper racing. But it is fun, and usually it's a decent challenge. Once I've established a good score, I then move on.
I treat the Time Trials the same way... It's not entirely realistic, and can be somewhat frustrating. But again, it's decent fun to try to get the gold, and sometimes it's fun to work at putting up a time that I am happy with (although I usually just move on after getting the gold.)
I say, keep 'em coming PD! :D

You just gotta admire the balls of this dweeb who sent me an FR the other day, I thought "who is this person?" so checked his GT5 stats and noticed its only 7% and clearly hasn't been playing GT5 for very long.
Anyhow's firstly he asked me if I played GT5, I replied yes and I'm 99.9% completed it, then he replied:-

"if you don't play it anymore gimme ya best cars"

You can guess what happened next?
A nice quiet message followed by BLOCKED!

So if anyone out there gets a PSN from haaii5 (might be spelt wrong)

Block him :D pahahahahaha

Dear Mr. Kazunori,
As an avid follower of your Gran Turismo games for a few years now may I ask "what are you still playing at?"
Your a professional racing driver and CEO of Polyphony Digital but alas you still haven't perfected the most simplest of things on your game. Let me please refresh your mind as to how cars function in real life, when my car gets hot, steam comes out the front of it, but your "realistic driving simulator" game this doesn't happen, may I also point out kindly to you that when any car that is racing turns too quickly around a corner it will give off smoke from the tyres, am happily to say yours does but has a major drawback..... They somehow stay INFLATED with air?
Now the game is well over 1yr old and took 5yrs in the making AND was released early to coincide with "another BIG game seller" could you please inform me when your going to make all the improvements stated above?

I find it hard that some simple coding, maybe even some simple tweaking could take 6yrs to do when you have an army of coders at your fingertips.
The whole content of "a realistic simulator" means you also have other problems that happen in real life (as stated above), oh and as another small matter that I think you really need to do is this:-
Doing a rally stage as a timed event is good, but to not use a standard rally car is wrong, it's like going to do your once a week shopping trip just using your rollerskates as transport and last but not least.... You are a good, professional racing driver so you know what to use on race tracks, when you race properly do you use "comfort softs or sports hard tyres?" oh I forgot your a professional and use "racing hard/soft tyres" ..... So why are you making us look like monkeys? Please get the next update sorted PROPERLY and do the proper cars and tyres for racing.

Yours sincerely
Stiggypoohs :)

wow a new seasonal with Lambo`s woohoo :) ................ slight problem..... fookin sports hard tyres.... again!!!
I now feel that it is obvious that "Mr.Yakamoto" is slowly moving GT5 into GT5-drift seeing as that`s the most loved sport in Monkeyworld!!!
So for all you die hard GT5 fans I would make the most out of the game before it turns into a cross between demolition derby and mario karts!

Will I be playing GT5 much more?
I seriously doubt it, its gone from (and I shall quote from Polyphony Digital) "the most realistic simulation game".......... to a joke! words really cant explain what I now think about the game and the owner instead of pushing the game and the name of it further into the frontier he`s sort of "come off the track" and lost it (shouldn`t of used those stupid tyres on race cars ya monkey).

Will I be rushing out to buy the new GT6 when its released?
No, I would rather spend me dollars on other enjoyable games and DLC`s knowing that Gran Turismo 6 will go the same path as GT5......... released earlier than expected, wasn`t fully finished to his standards and will be destroyed after 1 year of updates/glitches and stupid seasonals. I have heard from some far away place that GT6 will have new cars, new tracks and a few old favourites.... so be prepared for pot holes in the road, totally bald tyres and of course wheelbarrow racing.

What are the flaws with GT5?
1) Engines dont go boom when you continuosly redline them!
2) Tyres dont get punctures in them ever, even if you torture them to death and back somehow they still grip like new!....... (I want to buy some for my vauxhall, would save me a fortune over 10yrs)
3) Drive your car 200mph straight into a wall, notice anything different? ??? yup, you can still drive it like its brand new.
4) New suits, helmets? why for the life or god do you want new helmets and suits for? when your driving your car you cant see them.
5) Museum Cards are useless and worthless, reminds me of a 1970`s card game called "Top Trumps", that card game lasted long and died a slow death.

Need I say anymore? I dont think so.

oh and here`s an update that made me laugh and I`m soooo tempted to post a reply on his twitter:-
山内 一典 ‏@Kaz_Yamauchi
I won the race, SP8 Class. VLN#8 http://ow.ly/i/SKwh

I might reply with "hope you used sports hard tyres and not proper slick racing tyres!"

The only bargains I've seen so far is from amazon Andy, I'm not the shopper type of person and the game costs £37.95 from most stores but you might find Asda will sell it a touch cheaper.
If I hear of anywhere else that has a bargain I will let you know dude :)

Amazon here doesn't offer squat but I ordered from Ebgames to get the 15th Anniversary Upgrade. Code arrives two days after it ships but shipping could take 10 days, they say. I guess they deliver it by horse and buggy. Here's the deal they're offering:

EB Games Exclusive - 15th Anniversary Edition Upgrade

How would you like to start your Gran Turismo 6 experience this Holiday with 20 unique vehicles? To properly celebrate the 15-year legacy of Gran Turismo, the EB Games Exclusive 15th Anniversary Edition includes 16 additional cars as well as your own customized paint chips, race suit, helmet, PSN Avatar, and a copy of Beyond the Apex II app. Each of the combined 20 vehicles will have their own unique enhancements, either visually or performance upgrades. We'll have more information on the 15th Anniversary Edition at a later date. For now, check out the entire line-up of 20 vehicles when you pre-order through EB Games:

I just did the math and the version I got is about 37 pounds (can't find the symbol). $68 bucks including tax. Seems to me the prices here are way better and it's a much smaller market, too.

Well Gran Turismo 6 (GT6 for the google bot) is only now 4 days away, GT5 will still be played but not much by people, I reckons the game will be left standing next to GT3 and GT4 on the shelf.

There's some great videos on YouTube about GT6 that some if not most of you have already seen, I personally haven't seen 1 single video.... Why?

Because I want it as a surprise!

Yes it's nice to know what cars and tracks your going to have, but the surprise to me is the layout of the whole game.

I wonder if they've made tighter the XP and doesn't give you millions for a 24hr endurance race?
Does it go higher than level 40?.... I hope so!
Is the cap still 20 million?.... I hope not!

Many possibilities and lots of answers but as it's 4 days away, We've not long to wait.

It could be anything from an "Ayrton Senna" to a "Bobby Moore" maybe as high as a "Macaroni" but whatever it costs, you're prob only gonna do it once, so spend it and you'll have a great video to remember it with.

(Now everyone is googling what those monetary values are, lol)   ;)

Damn it's quiet in here these days, where's everyone too?

How are people doing on the GT6 game? I'm that bored now of just rebooting it daily to get the 200% login bonus that I've started a fresh game on another account but this one is on my other PS3 and specially looking for glitches or something different that has been missed.

I did notice at cape ring the crowd looked ummm paper thin on certain angles and they didn't do a good job spreading replicas of the crowd about, I spotted 3 of the same people next to each other, oh and on the fast Matterhorn track I tried a 100ft high air jump out of the track but crashed and burned back onto the track.... Without a single scratch on the car. Anyhows if I find anymore wild and wacky things I will post on here :)

I guess it's more quiet than before because trading feature has been taken from GT6.
One of the cars I liked most, AMG Mercedes CLK-LM '98, seems to be designed in PS2. Pretty awful graphic detalis.
I also noticed some weird sound bug. Sometimes you can't listen to the engine sound in turbo charged cars, just the turbine whistle, unless you're in 2nd gear and about 3000 RPM, then it gets back to normal.

I guess it's more quiet than before because trading feature has been taken from GT6.

In a nutshell, this.

I think we (as GT players) shot ourselves in the foot during GT5's early days, abusing the trading/gifting system, then PD brought in the CR limit for tradable cars and also the "One car per day" rule, as they reaiised the game's lifespan was being compromised by people aiming to collect every car asap.

This forum was essentially born from the trading days, you only have to look at the old old posts and it's clear to see that that was the hayday, the golden age.

Take away the trading, well now all we can do is shoot the breeze.

GT6 isn't difficult at all, in all honesty I will be getting platinum within a week or two, and that's playing the game VERY casually, nowhere near the amount of time spent on GT5.

I'd say GT6 has been a step forward technically, but the gameplay longevity is still far from 100%.

Ah well. Roll on GT7.

Part of the reason trading got removed is because it was used as a way to steal Stealth/Chromeline/dlc cars.  I'm not suprised to see it removed.

Hey,

I can say, I got quite some intel on the trading part. But Stealth/Chromeline and DLC has never been able to be spread over the trading system. This could also not happen as you need to have the "rights-to-own" file present on your PS3 (which is not send with the car when trading it)
I do think, like Andy said, the trading system was implemented to extend somewhat the lifespan of GT5. Which didn't, so they came up with rules for them.
Currently all cars are available in the dealer, so who needs to trade anyway when you can buy them directly?

Personally I miss the trading system, but on the other hand, I'm happy it doesn't exist anymore.
It took way too much time and I thought it was extreme annoying in the end to have to start up the PS3 every single day to furfill the promises you made (trading schedules)
Now I just buy a car I want to drive and jump in it!!!
I've golded everything gold, currently at 99% of the game (expect RB races to be the last 1%)
Started to do the career for the second time now from start using other cars and only use a wheel, no aids (ABS=1) and MT :)

Cheers

They were able to gift Chromline/stealth cars. They had to use a hacked ticket. One that looked like a civic, but cashed in as a DLC car.  So they were always in ticket from, and woudln't save. So you had to save your game, with the hacked tickets unused.  Cash in the tickets, use the cars. then restore the game with the un cashed tickets.

So, that all has nothing to do with the gift system. (We made trading out of it, but that was never PD's intension).
For spreading DLC cars, using a hacked ticket was one solution. To obtain DLC cars without the trading system was also possible.
I can even tell you (now that GT5 is history), some guys even figured out how to "keep" the DLC cars as car without losing them.
Lucky that never got public and no tools been written to do that either.

IMO the gifting system got removed because all cars are available in the dealer.

Yes they are, actually maybe too easy.

I finished ahead of Vettel on Monza, and also beat the gold time by about a second on Nurburgring and almost two seconds on Suzuka.

Compared to GT5... very easy indeed. But I ain't complaining.

And yes, the Red Bull Junior does sounds rather tasty.  8)

Well I finally cashed in my Christmas present.... And booked a trackday event at Kenilworth,

Will be driving a McLaren mp4-12c on Saturday 21st June at 1pm GMT
It'll be a 3hr drive for me to get there but well worth the experience. I'm taking my camera, son-in-law, daughter and wife with me and have asked for a video of the driving experience but they don't do that anymore, instead they can give out photo's on a disc etc which is a bummer but I will surely post them on here once I'm back home.
Off that subject now and back to GT5cheats, I'm tempted to run a retro night every Saturday night at the same time seeing as GT6 in my eyes lacks driving time plus it's the game that made Gran Turismo into what it is today.

I cashed my Christmas present in and by god did I enjoy it and sh** myself at the same time.
The drive up there and back was over 350 miles but we worth it.
There was ferrari's, Aston's, ariel atoms, vauxhall vxr's loads and loads of people and a Few Lambo's and one lambo balboa (only 3 in the country)

Here's a video of the drive, the McLaren I drove was a brand new one and they didn't want it damaged so had to be pretty gentle with it, I will try and upload some pictures later on (I took over 900 of them)

It was mind blowing Mike, really was :)
I made a few people laugh though cos I'm quite tall and stocky built.... I fell into the driving seat and couldn't wrap my legs under the steering column, so had to stand and slide into the seat. The people waiting to go on it and watching had a laugh at my expense :/

Would I do it again... Yes :)
The wife wanted it to be something I could tick off my bucket list, when she ordered it she was tempted to order a go in a Veyron instead but knew a McLaren was my ultimate car.

I looked right inside of an ariel atom that she said I could also go in but... My frame size would've been close to the limit as the seats are pretty small in them.
Right, will jump on laptop and upload some photos including the Aston Martin featured on Skyfall film.
